Issue #6
Back in the year 2009, the quarterly periodical, 'The Duckpin News' decided to discontinue its hardcopy newspapers that were circulated throughout the bowling establishments in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States. Rod Weaver (of SpareTalk) was approached by one of the well-established lady professionals -- who was also a proprietor of one of the local tenpin establishments -- to attempt to fill the void with a replacement newspaper. Since Weaver was a supporter of not only the duckpin game, but also the sport of tenpins, Rod decided to create a magazine-style publication that would accommodate the various forms of bowling across the North American continent. The result was a quarterly publication, entitled 'The North American Bowling News'. In all, 16 issues were produced, plus two special editions to accommodate the soon to be established, 'Inter-Continental Duckpin Bowling Challenge'.
